Scoop is a light-weigth news reader which keeps you up-to-date with the latest news from your favorite news feeds on the web (RSS/Atom).

Scoop is designed to be as simplistic and user friendly as possible, which has resulted in a lot of functionality put into a smooth design throughout the application.

Features:
- Add RSS/Atom feeds by entering the full url or let Scoop search a website for feeds.
- Manage and assign specific colors to each news feed for improved overview of all your feeds (for example, mark all gadget feeds as blue, sports feeds as red, gossip feeds as green, etc.).
- Share news by email, sms (only iPhones with iOS 4) or call (only iPhones). You can not share the news on any social media site. This way we hope to encourage you to share news to relevant people - with a personal touch.
- Swipe on a news source to mark all associated news as read.
- Swipe on individual news to make them read/unread.
- From the frontpage, turn the device to landscape mode for a fullscreen news-scroller.
- The first time you start Scoop a brief tutorial will be presented in each view to give an overview of the functionality in the application.
- Native support for iPhone 4 and Retina Display.

I Like!
Ive been hunting high and low trying to find an RSS feeder that doesnt require a google account (because I dont use gmail like that so I never remember the password). I finally found one. You type in web address, it finds it and adds it. I love the look and ease of adding and using the feeder. Its very nice how you can not only delete the feeds, but you can cut them on or off. Unread and read posts are separated. And the link to blog website is very nice as well. If youre the type thats into sharing thats there as well. I do think some things need to be made clearer like deleting and adding (its a little confusing at first once youve added and youre still on the screen trying to figure out whats next. I suggest changing it to when after youve added the feed it goes either to the settings screen to continue customization or home screen. And the screens should be a little bit more different to make it clear where you are). You play with it for a few seconds and you figure it all out, its that there is something about the flow that is a little weird. And I dont get the landscape feature at all. It only works when you on the feeder home screen and all it does is just scrolls across the screen one at a time the names of the feeds you have. You can tap the name and its take you to the usually screen but its its pretty pointless. Anyway, its nice and clean. Nothing fussy. Not that I need anything fussy because its just the content Im after. Its worth the .99 in my opinion compared to the more expensive alternatives which frankly most look all the same and require a google account. For me, this is enough and I like. Update: I changed from 4 stars to 5. I had an issue where the app kept crashing and the one of developers kept emailing me the same day I emailed them back and forth to help me resolve the issue. Which frankly, is more than just awesome customer service. They found out that one of the feeds I was adding was causing it to crash which they are working on a patch for. I am more than pleased with their level of commitment to keep their customers happy. Because for one of them to literally constantly keep emailing me back when they are on the other side of the world and for me having a hard time keeping up, that says a lot. I got far more than my .99 worth.
Great way to get news fast and easy
Wish I could just add the site without finding the rss site first but overall a good and useful app
